Dr. Neel believes that "Life always provides us with new opportunities for growth that we often mistakenly label as problems". Her approach in therapy is to address "the roadblocks that inhibit growth". Normal coping mechanisms that worked in the past may not be working effectively in the present.

Dr. Neel is particularly interested in physical and psychological development throughout the lifespan, from adolescence to parenthood to menopause (men's hormones change too!) and beyond.
